When I booked the hotel through Booked.net the two options I was given was a lake view or a city view. Once I was given my first room key and went to my room I noticed it was facing the lake and once I looked through the window my only view was of an AC air duct. I went to the front desk and informed them that my booking was for a city view. They gave me the option of a higher level lake view or a city view facing a building. Ether option would cost me $20 more. I don't see why I had to pay more if what I was reserving wasn't what I had I got.

Views to Lake Union were excellent
To get the view, we were above the main road which can be a little noisy even with the double glazing

The location is great. The Lake Union is great, you can find good restaurants directly at the lake and you can go for a nice walk and watch the seaplanes. All sights are also within walking distance. For breakfast we are in the Citizen, about 10 minutes walking distance. We can only recommend it. Great breakfast!
The room was a little small for the three of us, but for the first two nights with jet lag it was quite sufficient. The hotel is currently under reconstruction, so the reception area is only a provisional solution. But it did not bother us further. We also did not hear anything about construction work, but maybe it was also due to the fact that it was the weekend. Parking is expensive, but not necessary during the week-end, there is a free parking place in front of the hotel.

Comfortable bed, nice modern style. Starbucks coffee available in the hotel "bistro". Has a microwave in the little shop area.
The room I reserved was supposed to be "city view", but I was on the second floor staring at the back side of an apartment building. Big trash containers that seem to constantly get moved around made it for a noisy stay. My room had a connecting door to the next room and when the guest in that room had his alarm go off at 5 am it was very loud! The bathroom had hair on the floor when I first got into the room... They offer a green towel service which states that you can hang up your towel if you would like to reuse them or put them on the floor to receive new ones. I took the two extra bath towels and placed them into the closet so that I could use the full length of the towel bar to dry my towel. When I returned to my room in the evening I had all new towels and they even placed more towels into the bathroom to replace the ones I had put in the closet. I like it when I can contribute to environment preservation and found it frustrating that they did not follow their own green service offering I ordered some food to the room one of the nights and it arrived sitting in a quarter inch of grease. After draining it off and using some napkins for grease control the taste was actually quite good. Did not like the sandwich though they served in the bistro on another day - too boring. One of the employees dumped water all over my book, phone and notepad (I was there for a conference held in one of their rooms). He brought me 2 cocktail napkins and disappeared without an apology - disappointing! And all over all: overpriced rooms.
